😱 i undertipped my bartender by a couple bucks last night bc i was too drunk to remember how to math.* i am mortified. it feels like such a faux pas but also a kinda small amount of money (like, less than $5). should i FB message her** to apologize and ask to venmo her??? i was planning on going to poetry night tomorrow anyway so maybe i just over-tip then??? GAHHH THIS IS WHY BARS ARE SO DIFFICULT!! So many rules AND you have to remember them while intoxicated!!
*based on a general rule of 20% or 2 bucks per drink, whichever is higher. i dont actually know where i got that rule, im sure i looked it up at some point but also please correct me if im wrong IM SO BAD AT THIS.
**we already have a chat from 8 months ago when i was looking for a housemate so its not like i would have to FB stalk her or like she is a complete stranger. which makes me feel worse about undertipping!!
