I had dug it out of the attic and it all still worked so I grabbed a movie from a random collection I got (it had Spy Kids 2 in the dvd at first).
An Obsession from Shinji Ayoama
Really cool movie so far, I didn’t finish it but got 1/3 through or so. After a point I realized ‘this is a lot like Stray Dogs’ only to look up and find that it’s essentially an adaptation.
The cinematographer, coloring, pacing and music are all top notch. Lots of moody, lingering shots. The movie set is three movies from Shinji Ayoama so I’m curious about the others.
