Tac-Report: 299068-G9
Operation Name: Collapsing Star

Attached Video: Cock-pit camera, sensor monitoring, external sensors (When available) of Op. Units 01, 02, 03, 04, 05: Kestrel & Carapace Units

[Hanging on the ceiling above, the main sensor's camera crackles on and off occasionally. Overhead the roar of vehicles reverberates down into the city's underbelly, the drainage canals filled with rain and a film of oil glinting off the two Astirs auxiliary lights.

“....and I’ve failed in that. So I’ll fight for every inch for you I must.” The voice echoing across the city comes back into focus as the vehicles pass. The distorted camera follows the advancing rumble overhead.

“May, this is the only shot we have.” A low, soft voice clicks on over the radio. “She will be impossible to ignore, but I’m not sure how long she’ll last.”

“She should just leave. She’s worth more than us out here.” A cold, even tone responds, but the last words come out in a hiss.

Explosions ring out, and the echoing crash of something massive hitting the ground vibrates out, displacing dust above. Between the silence, the sounds of multiple types of weaponry periodically pierce out. Rotating, the damaged camera focuses on the stout Astir beside. Its large shield riddled with damage, it extends up the arm and along the grey and white chest. Much of the external armor detached, now the form a patchwork of thin ligaments and attached plating.

“But she made her choice to help us. We need to take what we can get.” The soft voice steadier now. “I’m not leaving you, and we stand a better chance together. You know that. Your cameras are hardly working even.”

“Fine, but I lead. I can make do, your armor won't. Give me your sidearm, and stay on lookout.” Her Astir’s hand clasps around the offered small gun. “Next explosion we hear, we head out. Ok?”

“Ok. We should head East.” Their Astir stands crouched in an active stance. They detach a few of the damaged plates, dropping into the mix of oil and water below. A crackle of missiles making impact sounds out as the Astir leaps into the sunlight, the sensor momentarily winking out again.]

(This is probably the last of this set, I think I like it as an end beat. I have noo idea what I'll focus on next.)
