For me the most interesting part of Andor has to be the borderline psychopathic ways in which people have talked about this show to me, belaying it's almost torture porn-esque content.
I mean it's really good (Eventually). As a propoganda piece it's fantastic and I hope more vicious shows like it get greenlit within corporate IP. But the way this show has been sold to me as "Just people talking" and a leftist utopia piece... Like either I'm more hyperempathic then I thought I was, or something core that's supposed to make up the soul of every living thing has fundamentally died in every person who's spoken about this show to me.
It just feels like people have come up to me and tried to sell that Funny Games is a comedic romp. And I believe that witnessing suffering is unpleasant and that, that's a normal opinion to have!
