I'm on the 5th volume of One Piece and something that really hits is how much every adaptation of this thing I've seen is sooooo so bad? Things that got on my nerves about One Peice in anime form actually really hit in the manga, the almost theatre-esque format of characters "Taking turns" of being centre stage rules here, but felt like momentum killers in other forms
