So, when does it personally hit you that a system you always viewed as just "Modern" becomes nostalgic? I had that with a recent replay of Mega Man Powered Up just realising like the Memory Of The Good Times feelings was hitting me. This and Loco Roco, from when my dad in a very "My promotion that has me working twice the hours of a job I hate is GOOD actually" move, brings home a PSP one day. It was kind of a surreal feeling for a working class kid, I remember feeling weird and guilty almost! Like a weird undertone of "but this cost the money that could've been spent on DS games I wanted, oh noooo" lmao

MMPU was the first game I got for it and I was not ready for how much I would love it and the PSP in general! Needing to figure out what the heck a "Wi-Fi" was, realising we did not have it and then walking down my street until I found a wi-fi that was unprotected (mid 00's things) in order to download Protoman and Roll. Uploading and Downloading my levels over the network when we eventually did get Wi-Fi... Fuck, it just hits you like... Oh this is NOSTALGIA. The PSP isn't an off fringe high-tech thing my poor-ass shouldn't be holding, no it is a relic, so old it is easily emulatable on devices I can afford easily, it is OLD, I AM OLD, ugh.

The game itself still rips, It's interesting the way it justifies it's full retail price point is with 7 million playable characters. Even thought it's just Mega Man's weapons but One Of Them All The Time like it still hits, I know how shallow it is, but I don't care I'm still so excited by all the little guys that I'll replay this game 20 times.
