one of my favorite tricks for hiding the whole neil and lyle thing from new viewers of gundam 00 is to refer to them exclusively as "season 1 lockon stratos" and "season 2 lockon stratos". one of my EXTRA favorite tricks is to also tell them "yeah lockon's writing really changes after season 1, he's basically a different person entirely!"
the ultimate trick, however, is deploying the Bigger Lockon Theory.
