(specifically the p-bandai exclusive purple recolor.)
a much more recent build - i finished this guy about a month ago! this lovely dragon from gundam AGE originally came in literally only two colors of plastic (purple and black), with a third color (metallic green) only added in if you count the stickers. definitely in need of a little bit extra to really make it shine, so SHINE IT SHALL
most of the gold paint i used was a tamiya spraycan, but i did do the horn and the wings with gunpla markers and the fancy little tail flames with a metallic ink pen. very pleased with the results! i was mostly going off a hunch with which parts to make gold rather than a concrete plan and it really worked out well.
the build itself was nothing special, just your classic early 2010s way-too-many-polycaps high grade. having also built a regrettable handful of the even more classic pre-2010 oh-my-god-why-aren't-there-ANY-polycaps high grades, i definitely prefer this type of construction, but the gwitch high grades have just absolutely spoiled me in this regard. they're simply so good is the problem...
oh, and i know almost literally nothing about gundam AGE. could not tell you even a single thing about whoever pilots this guy. i bought this kit exclusively because i wanted to have a sickass dragon in my house.
many such cases.
