it's about the doctor who 60th anniversary specials and the blastwaste of corporate-produced genre media we find ourselves in today. i put a lot of work into making this one entertaining for folks unfamiliar with dw, and as a bonus it's easily my best-looking video yet.

so you'd better go subscribe to my channel and do the bell already so you're prepared when it goes live!!

lot of great fucking one-liners in this one, I need to watch it like 3 more times, but that early "if you care about spoilers, no you don't, shut up!" made me burst out laughing and launch a cat into low atmospheric orbit. I feel seen

also I need to work watching these dr who specials into the 20,000 things I need to get done this weekend

I really enjoyed this. I'm slowly peeling back my disdain for the entirety of moffat era in favour of a less bitter hindsight. I still couldn't get through all of season 10 (which I was told to try out as the best moffat season, which I agree with. What I did get through I enjoyed.), but I am slowly appreciating that there was a lot of good in his stewardship, and I appreciate the way this video challenged me in that respect.

This era has overall been the most excited for doctor who I've been since the 00s and so much of why is how you pointed it out. It's so exciting to see people making a tv show and not treating lore and nostalgia and audience demands for consistency as cruel gods to appease and uphold above the messy creative process of camp dumb sci-fi. Thanks for making this.
