de de mouse is probably one of my favorite producers composers of all time and i cant shut up about it
like, sure, he makes what i would call pop music, but i feel like thats just because what he wants to do, he is unafraid of doing weirder or leftfield things, and that elevates his work so so much, i feel like the way he does synthwork is very interesting too, because he keeps it as simple as possible, which is an interesting approach that runs counter to a lot of modern production work, but it gives it this almost like, naïf vibes, maybe hes listened to some nobukazu takemura or smth

i dont think i can say how many times i have listened to this song, its melodies on top of melodies on top of melodies, u might think something like that would turn out to be messy, but he manages to make it work, the vocal chop keeps it all glued together, and it turns out amazingly well, mad props
