Perpetually amused and baffled by how the writers of Lucifer, the tv series about Satan Solving Crimes, simultaneously thought that people were still watching it for the police procedural part but also that they had to address the thin blue elephant in the room in 2020. The whole last season has threats of cosmic, world-ending scale, but we still need the police to help solve it somehow. Also one of the only two Black main characters tries becoming a cop and has a 'few bad apples' epiphany when he sees a child get brutalized. High-fives all around at the Netflix writers' table.
