Dealing with an assortment of Pats of various levels of obnoxiousness on the Linux Mint forums.
every pursuit is fractal. At every level of an interest, there's a sub-group. They have splintered off into two teams who had a schism over what seems to be a minor discussion. One of them is developing a new paradigm. And then there's some 80 year old master, the only one who can do it this way. All along the way, the people further up the chain are barely ever aware of anyone downstream.
