i grabbed some polarized sunglasses recently and they're really cool but they just make me want to make an eyepiece with a polarizing lens that I can rotate freely without having to put my head at weird angles
taste me, as the food and drink Alice found almost said. she was cast unto a stormshorn sunderedsea. you too will fall beneath my waves in time.

what if one lens was horizontally/vertically polarizing and the other was rationally polarizing
rationally? do you mean circularly? confused
yeah you'd also want a way to switch it between clockwise and counterclockwise I think (does flipping do this? I think flipping it might do this)
so we could have two separate eyepieces if we wanted.
put some diffraction grating on the lenses too, while you're at it, imo
splits light up into spectra. friend has a bit of it on their glasses to be able to see the spectral emissions of light sources
oh that's fucking wild? I'm gonna have to find a way to play with it
