protip: editing in tags seems to dampen your posts' searchability/discoverability. if you want to use tags for muffling or for your page's categorization, these might be helpful. I don't know the exacts of how this works however.

It's not an algorithmic dampening I think, it's just that the posts in a tag are listed chronologically, so if you edit tags in it's going to display under posts with those tags that were posted earlier, meaning that it won't be immediately seen on the tag page
