every time i hear someone say "why does f1nnster, a cis dude, pass better than me as a trans woman" i feel a compulsive need to point out that its his job to look good. of course hed invest time, money and energy into it, he kinda needs to. for you, your job probably doesnt hinge on you flawlessly passing or being super attractive, you have more important things to worry about so dont beat yourself up.
