yes, even just blue light can trigger fluorescence. it depends on the pigment
i think theoretically any wavelenght of light can create fluorescence into any lower wavelenght of light? but im not a physics twilight, i'm a plants twilight
oh yes for sure ive thought of this before! the thing gets excited!! i kinda want an infrared camera that you hack infrared fliters into to make it infrared color images, with various infrared colors!
I have a near-UV flashlight and we can make some of the diamonds in my wife’s engagement ring to fluoresce. Some diamonds do and some don’t. It’s pretty neat to see!
