A dear friend of ours, Zema, has published her first chapter of her first publicly released webnovel. She has been working on and revising this novel since June of last year, and, after sending to us and allowing us to review the first batch of chapters, has chosen to post it online.
It's a story not of trans obliviousness, but active, intentional trans denial, suppression, alienation from one's family; of the loneliness that can stem from that alienation of "this is what you are and this is what you do" that comes with gendered expectations. It explores how these dynamics can impact cis people, and attempts to bridge the gap between cishood and transhood.
I recommend checking it out if this sounds interesting to you, and sharing your thoughts if you enjoy it:
It's going to be releasing chapters for a long while— likely another year minimum. I anticipate it'll be quite meaty. I recommend giving it a good shot.
