humans and orcas have what, in orcas, are called "ecotypes". orca clans(?) can be called "resident", "transient", or "offshore". the former are akin to people who tend to stick in the same area (which, often but likely not always, implies a constructed home in the modern
day), transients might be akin to nomadic or travelling peoples, and offshore orcas honestly I'm not certain.
humans have... subpatterns of behaviors, though they're not genetically stratified like in orcas. we are capable of being extremely destructive to our ecologies, but also of integrating ourselves and not only not harming it, but helping to maintain it.
are there other sorts of beings which are capable of this contextual invasiveness?
