trying to make accessible math write-ups that aren't so aggressively accessible that they completely do away with the details to explain fun things I've found toying around in math that probably aren't that deep

and also I do actually want to try to explain some deeper things, like. "What does it mean in math for something to have 'structure'?" and "what is a number?" and "How can our notation hide assumptions we're making?", more broadly "what is notation, and where does it end and the math begin?". some of these things are things I have an intuitive grasp on, but that I would definitely benefit from trying to articulate explicitly, others are things that people who aren't into math make assertions about that I want to address and discuss because I think about it a lot. e.g., someone saying pi is really more of a "concept of a number" than a number, or something as innocent as saying "what is the square root of two?" are the kinds of things that get me thinking.
