Idea: a VC software that lets you change the panning on your friends to give you a little more information to differentiate their voices. Sort of between VR's motion-responsive panning and the complete loss of the sense of proximity in voice chats.

mumble and teamspeak can do this and even let you position yourself and others in 2d space so that panning/volume is calculated based on that. a few other voice chat softwares also did/do this. this tech has been around for decades, discord just never bothered putting it in
