I noticed something.

With the exception of two poses, May always puts her weight on her right leg. Now, obviously this means nothing, I do the same thing and this is a pretty standard "girl" pose but I'm a writer and that means I overanalyze everything so...
Headcanon: she primarily puts her weight on her right leg cause her left got injured while she was on her journey/helping her dad with field research so it hurts to put too much weight on it.
Interestingly, her model in ORAS and her official character art is the opposite, putting her weight on her left leg (for reference, the leg you put more weight on is always going to be straighter than the one you're not putting weight on because the leg you're putting weight on needs to become more rigid in order to support your weight). But we know Masters takes place after ORAS (and also isn't actually canon even though a lot of the things said in it are but that's besides the point) which means at some point between ORAS and Masters (or perhaps even during ORAS, she does go through quite a lot) something happened to cause her to switch the leg she puts most weight on from the left leg to the right leg, most likely an injury of some sort. It should also be noted that the only poses in Masters where she puts weight on her left leg are one where she's mimicking her official art and one where she's taking a step forward, two situations where it makes sense for her to put weight on her left leg and also could potentially imply that while she puts more weight on her right leg while standing in order to ease the pain in her left, she still instinctively leads with her left leg when walking, much like how I always lead with my right leg no matter which leg I'm putting the most weight on.
Or this all means nothing and I'm a crazy person. Honestly, that's more likely. But its fun to think about. So, yeah.
