You know what, that's a great question. I haven't consumed that much dragon media directly, my dragon obsession came more from a synthesis of years and years of different kinds of mostly enemy dragons in games.

As problematic as the show is in hindsight, Tohru from Dragon Maid is def up there too - altho funnily enough, my experience with that show was more about heavily relating with Kobayashi, since I saw a lot of myself in how her story was essentially about coming out of a shell of depression induced by a feeling of lack of change and progress in her life.
OH Midgardsomr and Tiamat from FFXIV!!!! Heavensward was such a great expansion. Vrtra from Endwalker is another great dragon from that game. I love the idea of a dragon who genuinely cares for the other beings around him
