i am going to lose it if i see one more post that equates banning lolicon/cub art with the current anti-lgbt legislation in the us not only because jesus christ having to post your art somewhere else isn't a hate crime and also the constant association of lolicon/cub art with the lgbt community by these people is disgusting, it's no more queer than any other type of fetish is and we extremely don't need you all associating us with pedophilia right now

being into lolicon/cub stuff is not queer it does not matter how queer you personally are this has nothing to do with queerness and doesn't make you any more queer or is no more tied up in your queerness than liking feet and trying to defend it as if being against it is being against queer sexuality is going to drive me up a wall

guess what a lot of queer people fuckin hate this kid content and and a lot of cishets love it so treating hating it like hating queer people is such a transparent smokescreen that you should be ashamed of attempting it

in reply to @lori's post:

I especially love the people going "how dare you do this when politicians are calling lgbt groomers" like buddy you're the one trying to say that jerking off to anime toddlers sucking dicks is an lgbt thing I'm sure that's doing WONDERS for keeping us safe right now

i mean its a little bit of a slimmer line than that even, which makes it worse- the argument isnt over their right to consume it or to engage in the paraphilia - its over permission to post it on the public forum and disseminate it to others. yknow, the part that actually contributes to normalisation and grooming. and claiming that restricting them from posting that in the open is anti-queer in general. absolutely reckless.

Don't remember mentioning kink at pride I'm pretty damn explicit about the content I have a problem with and shifting it to kink at pride to me suggests you don't wanna engage with the fact that I'm talking about sexual art of kids.

Those links (well, two of them, one of them is someone I have blocked and I can probably guess why) just do the exact thing I am saying I hate so I don't know why you think I'd change my mind reading them. I don't know what to tell you besides "I think they're wrong."

Talk to the people researching real life CSAM on the fediverse about what kind of "harmless fictional kink art" pedos use as a door to find each other to share real life CSAM. Communities that allow this art end up havens for the real shit.

Calling other queer people cops for not accepting people drawing jerk off material of children is wild to me. But defenders of this art will look for any language they can co-opt to twist things around (like turning this into "kink at pride" instead of "jerking off to anime toddlers") to try to sway people. I don't have time for that.

Frankly, I think it's ridiculous Cohost ever allowed minors in the first place. Legally they have to make it 13+, but they decided to make it 16+, and they aren't from a country where 16 makes sense, so why allow just 16 and 17 year olds on a site where one of your main selling points is "you can post porn"? I don't have a problem with 16-17 year olds looking at porn if they want to ofc but just logistically mixing adults and minors adds a ton of headaches they don't have the staff or expertise to deal with. You have to do a TON more work to keep minors safe on your site and keep anything illegal from happening there. So why do it? What's the appeal to allow just these two ages on your site and introduce a whole lot of new problems?

Like, it's not a "I HATE kids get these minors AWAY from me" thing, so no offense to you personally haha, it's just a "as adults running a business why introduce this liability into your business?" thing. And I don't understand what they get from it. It can't possibly be such a huge percentage of the userbase that it's enough of a financial incentive, and they have to code extra stuff on the site to handle minor accounts, so...why? What does this do for them?

And that's BEFORE you get into the lolicon/cub stuff, where it gets even MORE "why did you work so hard to let 16-17 year olds in here?"
