hi it seems like my mastodon thread is doing some rounds here in the meta tag so if i have to look at posts about it here i want to just make a few things clear:
- there's no weird grudges going on here, basically everything i feel is in the post, that's literally why i made it, to add context to why i feel the way i do currently
- i joined this site sincerely the day it launched publicly to see what it was going to be. i pretty much immediately had problems finding people to follow that posted things i cared about and that has not changed the whole time i've been here so...meta posting is all i've really found to do here.
- i do not find being very honest and frank about how i feel about things to be "bad faith". i don't think posting negatively about something is "bad faith". i'm sincere in what i said and felt. there's no ulterior motive here, i've been pretty fuckin blunt about where i'm coming from, that's the whole point. being negative about something is fine. it's fine if you disagree with me too!
- i have problems with a lot of other platforms too because none of them are truly great so if your reaction is "but what about mastodon/twitter/bluesky/etc." i have written a lot of words about those too. that wasn't my topic yesterday.
