wasn't that like...a big thing in Phantasy Star Online? that they used .beats as a kind of synchronized global clock for the game?

have no idea if this will merge today (there are plenty of reasons to not want to ship new features on a friday during a holiday break) but it's pretty low surface area so who fuckin knows
Unironically love the idea of a timezoneless time standard, with a new format that doesn't clash with existing time notation, BUT WHY ON EARTH IS IT UTC+1. LIKE YES YOU'RE BASED THERE BUT THAT'S LITERALLY THE ONE TIME STANDARD WE WERE ALL GENERALLY AGREED ON AHHHHHHHHHH!
