Personally, I do not like people who act like caricatures of themselves. Pigeon-holing themselves down one or two traits. I don't mean when they present themselves to the masses, but in private scenarios.

I just feel vaugely uncomfortable around them, it's like they sanded off the little details and nuances of their person just to become a marketable shell. It's like they found a way to commit Flanderization in real life. And for what? Why?

Am I bad for thinking this way about some people? I'm usually not that overly judgemental about people, but I just get so weirded out by this.

I have the feeling I've done this. Fighting the programming that came with being raised in a cult is no easy task. I do try to recognize that though and deprogram where I can. I hope more people see the value in being more honest with themselves and not feel obligated to fit into a box somebody else designed.
