quickly switch between fronters using a nice interface, edit past switches with a drag and drop timeline, enter friends system id's to see who's currently fronting, edit groups' members

suggested use-case is to use on mobile and "install" or "add to homescreen" from your browser for the easiest access

(please rechost for visibility, there are a lot of plural ppl on this site!)

sort and filter members
view a list of switches
drag and drop switches to edit times
keep up with friends' current fronts
tailor the app to your system through the settings
edit groups
offline compatible

Hi! We have a couple feature requests, if you don't mind! None of these are necessary, they are just things we noticed using the tool :3

Because of the way we set up our computer, it always reports a different timezone from the one we live in. It'd be nice to have an option to set the timezone ourselves; otherwise we gotta do headmath.

On desktop, it'd be super handy if the timeline and switchlist could be moved to the right-paw of the screen to take advantage of the extra space!

Also it took us surprisingly long to figure out that to switch out, we just press the tick with no members in it >w< Uhm. Now we know how to do it but others could struggle a little with it!

those are all good to keep in mind! generally how feature requests work is I wait until about 3-4 ppl request a feature to implement it :). altho I will say it's probs unlikely I end up doing #1: just a bit of added complexity that I'm not interested in dealing with bugs from.

#2 would not be difficult to implement so that's good to know! in general I have been looking for someone to help me with UI/UX and do a visual redesign. if that's you please lmk!

#3 I tried to solve via the tutorial/feature list in this post. how could I make it more clear other than these imgs?

That's all super-duper valid! We aren't demanding any changes for our sake, just sharing things we noticed using the app ^^

Alas, no. We don't have the first clue about UI/UX :< But we still have a few of suggestions for #3

  • Give the buttons 2 states, to indicate the button is clickable or not. The ✔ is always clickable, the ❌ remains grayed out and unclickable until the user selects a fronter. Users might then think, hey, the checkmark is still available when the list of fronters is empty, let's try pressing it!

  • Add a bit of text to the fronter list, "(leave empty to switch out)"

  • Add a button in the website that displays the tutorial in this post ^^

good idea I should write one

this is a fully client side application! the only data I collect is with vercel analytics which I vetted and found is very privacy oriented. it tells me how many unique visitors I get per day (not their IP addrs) and their country and the site they were referred from (if there is one) https://vercel.com/analytics

no data is collected on your system and I don't have enough resources to have serverspace to collect that data hahaha
