There's something extremely funny about how every time there's a massive invassion of people leaving twitter or tumblr, alongise the reposts of all the tips on how to best enjoy cohost, there's a wave of people saying "yes yes you should sign up to the 5$ subscription for this website that you literally just joined please please pretty please"

Well yeah. ASSC's position is that they literally will give up before implementing ads of the usual kind that websites do, selling people's data, or accepting VC funding, so at least until the tipping system gets up and running, subscriptions have outsized importance here compared to on basically any other website.
But definitely, I do understand it coming across as a bit weird, especially without that context!!
