machine made images COULD have been used to make identifying bad/low quality produce from production lines easier. or like a chute that farm animals walk through to examine them for wounds or (visible) sickness. or assist in detecting anomalies in medical imaging. or any other literally useful thing. like yeah sure they'd have to be vetted and verified by a human with actual knowledge but we could be doing literally anything else with machine made images instead of. replacing human thought and experience in the artistic process.

like dgmw i dont think the human factor should be entirely removed from production, especially food production. alienation from the sources of our food and labour is a serous issue and one of the main reasons corpos can get away w the evil shit they do. but if we have a means to make things safer, easier, less expensive (or even free), and create more time for leisure and fun, we should do it imo
