I think a lot about this one book series I read as a kid
Where the whole thing was that the character was blind. Which meant that the author had to be really creative about the way they describe the world from their point of view
And they were!!!! I remember liking it a lot,
And then the blind character gets magical sight
Which is TOTALLY not the same as actual sight!!! For reasons unexplained!!! But they could basically like... see again.
And then the quality of like. The descriptiveness? Of the writing? Just plummeted after that. It was honestly really disappointing...
