I feel like Haken's Cockroach King has only got more relevant as time goes on
it paints a picture about a charismatic figure who leads someone astray.
"Hypnotized by the cockroach and its promise
I was compromised
by a treasure that was fit for fools"
it makes me think of people like andrew tate and jordan peterson, who tout self-help and grift people toward their way of thinking in order to "unlock" something (a treasure)
"I yearned to be an apostle
Of the selfmade man"
...and eventually, the cockroach's true form as a deciever is revealed
"The Cockroach King of guile and greed
With a broken crown he's left to bleed
An empire falling to its knees
A bleeding ground for those who heed"
