it's not so much not endorsing public jokes about shootings as that's a very valid stance, so much as he used the phrasing "i don't encourage political violence in any form" while he's also supporting israel

YEAH i've been trying to do more research rabbit holes even while i type to make sure i understand correctly. but there's a twitter post from him like. Right away that's one of those. "no one on either side should be getting hurt but guys hamas is really bad" kind of posts aaand i can't find the letter or list itself right now but someone else mentioned he signed one of the letters saying israel has the right to defend itself
