I can't even imagine why anyone tolerates it. why don't server admins change it? maddening behavior. I do not need a fucking push notification on my phone for every last goddamn message in your server

Nice to know that this option exists on the admin end so I can be annoyed whenever any server with more than 20 people in it leaves it on the default option

pretty sure in the server admin panel they used to have a cutesy message saying "make sure to change this in big servers or this will happen! lol" with a link to a video of lots of notifications or something. almost like they knew it was a problem but didn't change it?? now it just says they "strongly recommend" it for Community servers. just Community servers, everyone else is fine getting blasted with pings all day
