the difficulty curve for hitman freelancer feels like, really steep. still compelled to keep playing it but I feel like there's so little you can do at first until you like, complete Just The Mission enough times to have money to do anything else.

defeated in this run by "47 hit the fucking guy with the wrench NO DON'T SNAP THAT GUY'S NECK"
getting into this situation was, however, my fault. I was fairly sure I set up the target for an accident kill, but it was gonna take like 10 minutes for him to loop and walk into it so i was trying to get the cameras. the bangkok security room has three guards in it. I managed to erase the tapes while the guard's back was turned. unfortunately the extra cameras on the map (because I also fucked up the previous map due to it being a fully new one to me and making some Questionable Decisions while exploring) caught me, and every guard was about to start combat. I knocked out two and was walking towards the third to get him, but he backed up faster (while shooting me) and trying to hit him with the wrench too just snapped to one of the guys on the ground to snap his neck, at which point I was also dead.
wouldn't be doing risky stuff if I didn't feel so incredibly bored Being A Good Girl and doing exactly one hit and leaving to build up rank/money to do anything else.
