gonna see how -c:v libx264 -crf 22 -tune animation does. it is surprisingly annoying to find scale correspondences between x264/x265, but this seems roughly close to my x264/18 preference.

sorry, scene singular. I needed to watch the What's Up Danger scene again.
also I needed to figure out what was different between the two main-title-sized .mkvs I have / which one has the subtitles in spanish or whatever. and it's hard to do that if you can't jump between the start and end credits trying to spot it.
