currently watching The Bourne Legacy. I mostly remember hearing it wasn't nearly as good as the earlier ones.
kind of weird to watch in general because everyone involved is someone I should be rooting against (except I guess Bourne because tearing up spy agencies from the inside is good)
a plot beat in this one is the CIA burning down [NEW TREADSTONE] by killing a bunch of their own agents which I guess is supposed to be bad but.... again.... US spies.
also going ??? at having a bunch of people in the kinds of countries you'd expect suddenly drop dead as being the best way to wrap a field op, but I guess if you assume perfect deep-cover fieldwork (very lmao with the modern CIA) and some magic spy pills that look like a brain hemorrhage or something it's just barely plausible.
mr. not jason bourne shot down a predator drone with a sniper rifle so that's cool.
