byoh I should build a dwarven atom-smasher and then I really won't have to go outside again
the dragon finally died (not sure where, I can't find it). Trying to rebuild my drawbridge to access the outside world again, and someone fell into the water pit below it and drowned.
TAKE IT UP WITH THE FUCKING DRAGON.
