every time i see an ad for "we created an expansion for D&D 5e where you [do something that D&D 5e was not built to do]" the part of my brain that hates D&D gets louder

you don't need a "studio ghibli vibes setting for D&D 5e". you don't need "historical settings for D&D 5e". you need to open your minds to better games

for file in *[^]].mkv; do ffmpeg -ss 00:00:06.000 -i $file \
-c:v libx264 -crf 18 -vf pullup -r 24000/1001 \
-c:a copy -c:s copy -map 0:v -map 0:a -map 0:s \
"${file}[PROCESSED].mkv" \
; done

notes:

  • the bracketed bit on the for file in is because this will re-encode its own output with the easy *.mkv, as I discovered a few times.
  • the ss 00:00:06.000 chops off the Nickelodean intro that is on the S2 rips, but not S1 (and I think not S3 or S4). I considered chopping it off the end too out of spite, but that at least is consistently there in other seasons, so it lives for now.
  • the pullup is the big bit, season 2 (only, I'm pretty sure. not season 1, and I believe not seasons 3 and 4) of LOK on the official blu-ray are 3:2 pull-down'd to 29.99 FPS. I know why you'd do this for television. I don't know why you'd do it on the release disk, and especially I don't know why you'd do it ONLY FOR ONE SEASON. goddamn it nick can't even treat this show right on blu ray release. http://underpop.online.fr/f/ffmpeg/help/pullup.htm.gz

if these all look good (I think I'm just gonna spend the evening scrubbing through these, doing a more thorough check than just a few-second spot check per episode), I can delete the raws. will launch season 3 regardless so my fileserver can chew away at it.
