Warranty Void was a protogen when they left the factory, but during initial shipment their container was damaged and the living part did not survive transport. The owner was refused an RMA and decided instead to (illegally) dispose of the defective unit at a dump.
A worker at the dump was horrified to discover the protogen was still recording data-- the computer part was still "alive"! They recovered the extremely gross frame and spent a careful two years cleaning the protogen carcass, removing the dead flesh and replacing it with mechanical parts. Eventually Warranty Void was able to properly interface with its new parts and come to full life.
Warranty "War" Void is frequently tweaking their frame and adding new parts. There is not much outside the basic torso and hip frame left from the original protogen. Inside of the shell is rough construction-- Just steel supports, moving apparatus, and wires. Warranty's most prominent feature is the spotlight that makes up their face. This was one of War's first self-modifications and remains one of their favorites. War primarily expresses themself with a set of Geth-like fins around the sides of their spotlight. War also loves sensors and discovering new ways to sense outside the standard protogen set. As a result, War has two enormous, irregular arrays of antennae sticking out of the back of their head, like antlers.
Warranty's hands are claws that break into many tools, from drills to suction tubes to laser cutters.
Warranty has not attempted to repaint or otherwise decorate themself-- everything attached generally has an excuse. They try to keep to a black and silver aesthetic but have not repainted anything, including their original frame, so bright splashes of color sometimes make their appearance from within War's tangle of internal tech. War's original protogen frame is iridescent, going from a deep blue through purple into a beautiful golden fringe on the edges.
