because they hadn't even finished deploying the satellites this time before a transformer blew and knocked my power out
anyway spacex has launched 7 transporter smallsat rideshare missions as of this morning, and now 5 of those 7 have brought varying levels of bad personal news for me specifically.
Transporter 1 had nothing happen personally to me, but there was a covid exposure incident among the spaceflight press pool.
Transporter-2 is when my roommate WaywardPlane was taken away to hospice for their final days, succumbing to their severe cancer shortly after.
Transporter-3 i remember nothing particular taking place.
Transporter-4 was when my bike got run over at work by the fuel truck.
Transporter-5 was when my mom got cancer and died.
Transporter-6 wasn't severe, but it still sucked to learn that my great-aunt and uncle in New Hampshire who I wanted to go see during the eclipse next year got struck by a car, killing one of them.
and now Transporter-7 my transformer blew and let's hope that's the worst of it.
anyway at least it's an opportunity to defrost my freezer. and my fridge is pretty empty (as is common)
it looked like their estimate was that power would be restored at 8am, that might be enough time.
