man remember when the floyd protests really kicked off after a bunch of people burned down a goddamn police station and then political analysts did a bunch of polls and basically everyone in the country was like "ehhhhh I dunno man it sucks but like, seems like a reasonable response tbh"
I forget the exact numbers but basically Burning Down A Police Station polled better than any politician in the country lmao
we didn't see the polls at the time so we can't attest that it was really that favorable but
yeah. the protestors had clear moral authority, the fucking cops had none, and have none. it's nice that everyone can see that.
IIRC it was something like 58% support for the protests which beat out both Trump and Biden. I also remember the monthly stories all of last year about how Support For BLM Is Declining that showed absolutely no change outside of margin of error. The capitalist state continues to aggressively attack even the idea that anything should improve, ever.
