Why do protogens have so many rules??
You've got plug-and-play limbs that somehow maintain vascular integrity when swapped out but you better not have more than four ears or one tail. That is NOT allowed. And so help me if I see wings on you—
I guess it's probably because furry commissioners are weirdly monied and this shit is a whole business but that makes it feel even weirder to me.

no, lol. Technically protogen aren't even supposed to have genitals and that's definitely not adhered to by anyone.
There's like no way the original artist can enforce any of it, the most the original artist can do at this point is clarify that they aren't compliant with their original vision. And even then the artist has mostly given up at that.
Still considering the merits of making an open-source cyborg furry species just so one exists

Honestly I really really like synths. Protos are cute but synths are just wonderful.
