today i woke up with zero new notifications for the first time literally ever. i'm currently using the "content only" filterset (comments and replies) but i'm considering adding follows back in too b/c i like seeing who follows me (it's often how i find new people to follow).
it feels very good to have reduced a lot of the noise that contributed, for me personally, to a "number get bigger" mindset, even when there was no actual number to be seen. glad i finally got this one out.
BIG fan of how it lowers the notification number as well, so i only have to check the tab if there's anything to engage with. top tier feature
turning the numbers off already made it so I barely look over there... time to make it so there's even less reason to look over there!! I really do love these kinds of features, they are detoxifying my brain more and more every day.
