A brief one, and a good one: ACLU-D.C., the District of Columbia branch of the American Civil Liberties Union, has voluntarily recognized its staff union ACLU-DC Staff United. The union had supermajority support among employees, and ACLU-D.C. wisely avoided a costly and hypocritical fight against the union's recognition by doing so. ACLU-DC Staff United will be affiliated with the Washington-Baltimore News Guild going forward.
This is one of at least two unionization efforts ongoing at the ACLU; another began in April, when the ACLU's workers in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Kentucky joined forces as ACLU Southern Affiliates United and also requested voluntary recognition of their union. The ACLU has not yet responded to that request from what I can tell.
