This video, which I did watch at some point, explicitly states throughout that USB is polled and PS/2 is interrupt driven, and towards the end includes a lucid comparison between the two approaches, so clearly my YouTube education is not sticking. To be fair to myself it turns out that having gentle-voiced men explain electronics to me is a rather reliable way to make me doze off

i have also used this guy's channel as a sleep helper while absorbing shamefully little of the information. other than hearing "UART" in a recent video and having to hold myself back desperately from writing out a comment where i make up a thing called "Sequential UART" and tell people that to learn more they should look up "SQUART"
well, you know, UARTs are used in serial applications, but none of the letters in the acronym mention that, so adding it would not be redundant, and 'sequential' is a synonym for 'serial', so really, when you think about it, all we need to do, is start calling them that,
