I have a terminal case of bovine pungiform encephalopathy, the bovine puns are cowmpulsory
they/them/moo where "moo" stands in for "you" or where it's funny, like "how are moo today, Lupi?" or "dancing with mooself"
This is suddenly getting a lot of traction on Tumblr. Huh.
Oh, don't worry, this is barely the tip of the "janky toponymy" iceberg around here!
if you live outside the GVRD, "the city" is also an acceptable substitute for "lower mainland" like people just use it to be the entire fraser valley lol
Oh, yeah, "Lower Mainland" basically impliesโฆ โฆlike, I guess it depends? I wouldn't say someone's wrong in including anything between Whistler and Hope in that, but drawing the line at Lions Bay or even Horseshoe Bay at the north, and Chilliwack at the east, also isn't wrong?
ive just heard so many people say "im going to the city" and its like abbotsford like alright i guess that is a city
Huh.
Like, that'd totally make sense coming from someone from between east of Langley and Hope, but "the city" feels like it implies the nearest continuous urban area?
If Courtenay/Comox and Vancouver are both closer to someone than Abbotsfordโฆ???
In before someone from Seattle realises that it isn't "Victoria Island".
