at least, i still think so.
some of the views and concepts and writing are still so evocative, like this beautifully handwritten Selenitic Age journal:

you'd think "your best favorite friend kraft punk providing directional sound cues in his kraft-pod" might have been axed for disrupting the flow of the game and adding a lot of tedious padding with history's least-favorite character parody.
maybe it really should have, because nobody actually fondly remembers the selenitic age kraft-pod. anyone who says "it wasn't that bad" either read the walkthrough guide or they're STILL so damn proud of themselves for knowing which way to turn when they hear a cowbell and a robot fart at the same time. way to go, you did a great job at playing the slowest, easiest game of simon ever put to fmv
but you know how it goes with creative projects, especially back when games like this were made with a team of only seven people. sometimes someone really high up just really insists on having a feature or a bit and won't take no for an answer
back then you'd get little quicktime movies tucked away on the Multi-Media CD-ROM full of insights and challenges and toilet bubbles, you get to learn all about these sorts of things when you might otherwise be left to ponder forever as to why the game had such a divisive section, but now we know
