The Early Automotive Era
Vista House is an old rest stop along the columbia river highway, built in 1917. It's a few miles west of Multnomah Falls. It's a fine little building, with a gift shop and a history exhibit in the downstairs section. The ride up is nice, with a few heavy curves and lots of uphill into Corbett. I think about the road a lot when I ride out here.
With these, I did the metering with my T3i and shot some tests to see how they came out. Then I copied the settings to the Minolta and shot that. It kinda came out, but I still had to fuss with these some in post. Not too much, but I pushed the lows lower and the high higher. I can see, I think, where I could have improved these. It's been a couple rolls since I shot these and I (think I) understand b/w better now.
Also the distortion on the third shot is kind of intense. That's the 28mm setting of my sigma. Little excessive !
