I knew I was a mark for this game going in because I loved Gran's comic work so impossibly much. And yet somehow Perfect Tides just precisely struck again and again, hitting the right nerves at the right points and sitting beautifully in that messiness. My only regret in powering through it right at launch was that none of those walkthroughs existed yet and I got stuck on a couple mechanical points. But the character work and the sheer humanity of it easily overpowered that. Nobody does it like Meredith Gran.
Oh cool the game made by the Octupus Pie author is out. Gotta pick this one up.
