I went to get a water bottle

a bird came out

what do I do

this is not a sustainable, viable place for a bird nest.

@lupi

i don't think there's eggs in the nest, i very super gently cut open the shrinkwrap

it's also very recent, like within the past few weeks

so i don't think there was time for eggs to happen

do i try to scare the bird off, do i try and relocate the nest to a nearby eave in the shed, what is the least worst solution to "a bird has built a nest in my stack of water bottles"

in reply to @lupi's post:

I spent a bit of time trying to evaluate it I could do anything that would allow the nest to broadly remain in place, and I hadn't seen this until I made my attempt. pictures incoming in a final post but otherwise concur with your instincts

Yeah I also agree. My understanding is that nests get destroyed/abandoned all the time, because birds are silly and frequently build nests in terrible places. I think they will be mildly inconvenienced but no worse than that.

(Expert advice will of course overrule my vague understanding of these matters.)
